This initiative underscores Bethlehem University\u2019s dedication to equipping students with hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact on the local community.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, students gained firsthand experience by working directly with elderly residents, assessing their needs, and tailoring interventions accordingly. The experience was designed to foster empathy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills\u2014essential competencies for future occupational therapists.<\/p>\n<p>To reinforce learning outcomes, students were required to complete two assignments\u2014one group-based and one individual. These assignments focused on analyzing clients\u2019 abilities based on observations recorded during the visit. Through this process, students developed a deeper understanding of geriatric care, enhancing their ability to assess and support individuals with varying physical and cognitive needs.<\/p>\n<p>By incorporating experiential learning, Bethlehem University continues to cultivate professionals who are not only highly skilled but also socially responsible.
