{"id":1980,"date":"2023-11-30T15:30:40","date_gmt":"2023-11-30T15:30:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bethlehem.i72dev.com\/?page_id=1980"},"modified":"2026-04-16T12:57:31","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T16:57:31","slug":"giving-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bufusa.org\/de\/giving-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Chancen geben"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<div id=\"block_7e4f7184105f6311adc54879510470ac\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--default align-center page-width\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"paragraph__inner-container\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"paragraph__text\"><h2><span style=\"color: #062d68\">Annual Fund, Endowed Scholarships, and Long-Term Support for Students in the Holy Land<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">As an unrestricted fund, <span style=\"color: #062d68\"><strong>Bethlehem University Foundation Annual Fund<\/strong><\/span> serves three purposes: 1) to make grant funding available to Bethlehem University for annual use, 2) to fund the needs of Bethlehem University Foundation, 3) to make future grants available to Bethlehem University by investing in the endowment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The Bethlehem University Foundation Annual Fund sustains both the University\u2019s core mission and the Foundation\u2019s essential work: supporting academic programs, strengthening faculty excellence, and providing the scholarships and resources students need to continue their education despite the economic pressures facing families in the Holy Land.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\r\n<div id=\"block_8700b221ef39892f31ed8d90f1240a8e\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--default align-left page-width\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"paragraph__inner-container\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"paragraph__text\"><p style=\"text-align: left\" data-start=\"85\" data-end=\"280\">Donors who wish to provide a sustaining and lasting future for Bethlehem University may do so by establishing an <strong><span style=\"color: #062d68\">Endowed Fund or Endowed Scholarship<\/span><\/strong> through the Bethlehem University Foundation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\" data-start=\"282\" data-end=\"544\">Endowments may be designated for a specific purpose, aligned with both the donor\u2019s intentions and the University\u2019s needs. An Endowed Fund typically supports broader priorities\u2014such as a field of study, facilities, educational equipment, or faculty development.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\" data-start=\"546\" data-end=\"761\">Endowed Scholarships are dedicated specifically to student tuition. He is an accounting major with a minor in marketing.\u00a0 Upon graduation, he aspires to put his \u201cfull potential into his business and also help his father with his wholesale businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In reflecting on what he has learned from his father and grandfather about success, Abdalrhman wishes to emulate them, \u201cI was taught that the money we earn does not belong completely to us, it belongs to the less fortunate people, they are the priority, not your bank account, and I want to grow this seed in the family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bethlehem University has given him both education and experience, but he notes that the University, \u201cgrows your personality and social life, your networking skills, and how you attract people that could help you. An Endowed Scholarship, named after an organization or in honor\/memory of an individual, is a \u201cforever scholarship,\u201d allowing Bethlehem University Foundation to invest your gift and send the annual income to Bethlehem University.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bufusa.org\/support-an-established-endowed-scholarship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A full list of Endowed Scholarships and Funds can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Scholarship recipients are selected by Bethlehem University based on need and academic merit. With a gift of $30,000, you can establish an Endowed Scholarship. An Endowed Scholarship is fully funded at $100,000 and will cover the full costs associated with educating one student at Bethlehem University each year. Endowed Funds are managed by the Board of Directors of the Foundation and are invested with T. Rowe Price. With an initial gift of $30,000 and a pledge of at least $100,000 payable over 5 years, you can establish an Endowed Fund at the Bethlehem University Foundation. Annual Scholarships are $4,000 per year, for four years. While that might not seem like much, it is very expensive for a Palestinian student where minimum wage is roughly just over $500 a month in the West Bank.<\/p>\n<p>By committing to the four-year education of one student, you will be able to follow your student\u2019s progress and learn a little bit about their life and dreams.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most impactful ways you can support Bethlehem University is to sponsor a student, whether that be a full scholarship or a portion of a scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>Students who are accepted to Bethlehem University automatically receive a 50-60% scholarship.
