2025 Spring Appeal for BU Students

Bethlehem University students have been through some really dark days.

The impact of the war reaches beyond Gaza, and touches Bethlehem, the University, and the entire West Bank as well. The ever-present Israeli military, tear gas, and check points add to the sense of helplessness and vulnerability of the Bethlehem University community.

Most Bethlehem University students receive some type of financial aid as tuition is $4,000 a year (that’s $329 per month). This was a significant financial burden even before the war for many Bethlehem University families in Palestine. There, the minimum wage is just over $500 a month and the average monthly salary is only $790. Your support increases the chance that students can pursue their dreams despite the economic situation in Palestine.

Will you help our students overcome despair, remain steadfast in their pursuit of education, and retain a glimmer of hope?

“. . . we boast in our sufferings,
knowing that suffering produces endurance,
and endurance produces character, and
character produces hope, and
hope does not disappoint us, because
God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the
Holy Spirit that has been given to us.”

Romans 5: 3-5

Your support will help
drive the change
needed to assure human dignity,
build resilience, and
provide opportunity
for Palestinian students and their families.
