The impact of the war reaches beyond Gaza, and touches Bethlehem, the University, and the entire West Bank as well. The ever-present Israeli military, tear gas, and check points add to the sense of helplessness and vulnerability of the Bethlehem University community.
Most Bethlehem University students receive some type of financial aid as tuition is $4,000 a year (that’s $329 per month). This was a significant financial burden even before the war for many Bethlehem University families in Palestine. There, the minimum wage is just over $500 a month and the average monthly salary is only $790. Your support increases the chance that students can pursue their dreams despite the economic situation in Palestine.
