Board Member Spotlight: Guy J. Di Spigno

This month’s board member spotlight is Guy J. Di Spigno. Guy is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and the President of Executive Synergies. Learn more about him below:

Why Guy Supports Bethlehem University:
“After visiting the University and following up with faculty (and later through the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre on video with students and faculty), we have come to look at Bethlehem University as the best hope for peace and understanding in the Holy Land as well as providing students with a great academic education.”

Dr. Guy J. Di Spigno, Ph.D. is a results-oriented consultant with a broad-based business background who takes a pragmatic approach to achieving maximum effectiveness in client organizations. In addition to being a licensed psychologist, he has extensive business management and consulting experience. Guy has held the positions of Director of Management Development and Personnel Services for Borg-Warner Corporation and Director of Human Resources for Valuation Research Inc. He has also served as Vice President of a national corporate outplacement firm and as a consultant with the Hay Group.

Guy holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, a M.A. from Loyola University Chicago, a M.A. from Northern Illinois University, and a B.S. from Carroll University. He is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Guy is a frequent business and university guest speaker on motivation, executive team building, and corporate cultures.

Upon turning sixty, he accepted a position as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago teaching in graduate programs in both Clinical and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Guy is a Knight Grand Cross of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre and a Knight of Malta. He and his wife served as co-presidents of the Archdiocese of Chicago section of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre and Co-Chairs of the Pilgrimage Committee for the North Central Lieutenancy. Guy has served on the advisory board of the School for Continuing Studies at Northwestern University, the Council of Regents of Loyola University Chicago, and the Board of Trustees at Carroll University. Guy’s biography appears in current editions of “Who’s Who in America” and “Who’s Who in the World”.

Fun Fact:
Guy likes to play acoustic guitar (one of two Martin Guitars that were gifts from his wife Gisela). He also enjoys scuba diving, something he discovered after “retiring” from giant slalom amateur skiing.
