BU Faculty of Nursing Excel at American Heart Association Healthcare Forum

Bethlehem University participated in the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Healthcare Forum 2024, held in Dubai from January 26-28, 2024. This event brought together healthcare leaders, innovators, and experts from across the MENA region.

The forum delved into the latest AHA programs, discussing recent updates and advancements in resuscitation and life support programs. The focus was on highlighting their applicability and significance in the MENA region. An essential objective was to inspire a transformation in healthcare, encouraging innovative approaches and guideline-based certification to enhance the standard of care in MENA countries.

Bethlehem University was represented by Mrs. Salam Awad, the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences, Mr. Nouraldin Talbishi, the Clinical Simulation Center Manager, and Ms. Leen Hamati, the Training Supervisor. This active participation aligns with the university’s vision of enriching life-saving training services for both medical and non-medical professionals within the Palestinian community.

The forum also provided an opportunity to recognize and appreciate Mr. Nouraldin as the AHA Regional Faculty for the MENA region. This acknowledgment reflects his dedicated efforts and pivotal role in supporting the American Heart Association’s vision, providing continuous support and assistance for the AHA training centers during their establishment and capacity building in various regions.

It’s noteworthy that the Clinical Simulation Center at the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences, Bethlehem University, holds accreditation and licensing from the American Heart Association. It serves as an international training center, delivering basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation training, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training courses.
