Say YES to
What Comes Next

This summer, Bethlehem University student Ghassan Johnny Altawil said yes to an extraordinary opportunity: an internship at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., in a country he had never visited.

Students Like Ghassan Are Choosing a Future at Home

For Palestinian students, earning a university degree can open pathways to meaningful work, service, and a future in their own communities. But economic hardship is making it increasingly difficult for many families to keep higher education within reach.

Bethlehem University remains committed to giving students like Ghassan the education, experiences, and resources they need to move forward.

After a month in the United States this summer, Ghassan returned home more certain of where he belongs.

“Visiting the U.S. made me sure that I want to live in Bethlehem,” he said. “Home to me is not just a location. It’s the family and friends I have here.”
